At around 400 metres (900 feet) above sea level, with rainforest on three sides, and the Baron river on the other, Kuranda Rainforest Retreat has a cooler climate to that of Cairns as we are sure you will decide. Kuranda Rainforest Retreat is really at the middle of some of the most equisite tourist locations in the Cairns Region, and is only minutes from many bushwalking tracks, simply great to stretch tired legs upon. Just twenty minutes easy walk away are the famous markets of Kuranda, with Skyrail, the Kuranda Scenic Railway, and a five minute drive to the Rainforestation and not faraway to the Marreba Wildlife Park where you may spot a lion or even a salamander.
